In what is being termed as a move that will revolutionise healthcare in the UAE, the first of its kind ‘smart’ ambulances (muscle cars), equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to provide immediate and efficient medical aid to patients, made their first appearance at Digital Health Live at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
To combine speed with efficiency, the pure muscle cars such as Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Lotus Evora were equipped with latest first aid facilities. They are the latest additions to the Dubai Ambulance Service and all have the capability to navigate through traffic bottleneck in order to reach a crash site in as little time as possible.
Each car features varied pieces of equipment that enable available paramedics to send relevant patient information to waiting doctors at the hospital. Other advanced utilities include complete X-Ray and ultrasound facilities meant to cater to large-scale casualties. This is the latest innovation after the revelation of the ‘world’s smallest ambulance’, the Desert Responder early last month.
