China’s Wanxiang Group, the new parent company of the car brand Fisker, is currently offering existing owners of Fisker a chance to benefit from free maintenance through its authorised customer support programme (CSP). Through this plan, current owners of Fisker Karma will be able to gain access to relevant parts and labour for repairs of up to $2000 absolutely free.
Original owners will also get additional CSP benefits which automatically make them eligible for nearly $5000 in parts and labour. With 15 CSP providers in the U.S, many in Europe and one in the UAE, Fisker’s CSP programme is expected to remain valid until January 31, 2016.
This is one of the first initiatives made by the company’s new owners ever since Fisker first applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2012 after Henrik Fisker quit as CEO in February of the same year following a dispute with the company’s top management.
Currently, the new owners are working on plans to re-launch the Karma sometime in 2016 with entirely updated hardware, much of which is nearly seven years old.
