The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded all versions of the Ford F-150 Pickup Truck with a five-star safety rating as part of the crash test results conducted on both the Regular cab as well as SuperCab versions. Previously, the company’s four-door SuperCrew variant had managed to attain the same five-star rating.

According to the NHTSA, the Ford F-150 managed to score well in all three impact categories of the test; specifically the Front Impact, the Side Impact and the Rollover. This holds true for both the 4×4 and 4×2 models.

The fully redesigned Ford F-150 features numerous safety features including antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, trailer sway control, front-seat side-impact airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and even a Sync system that can use a paired cell phone to call for help in the event of a crash.
