Honda introduced its first prototype of Concept D representing the future of SUVs for the Chinese market at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The Honda Concept D Crossover SUV displays a rather bold persona, with a huge grille, LED daytime running lights, massive vents and a large bumper that features strips of DRLs using LED technology.
After the launch of other similar compact crossovers, such as the HR-V and XR-V last year, Honda seems pretty confident about the future of the Concept D. The design is aimed at drawing the attention of the young Chinese lot. Apart from other features, the Concept D also includes a tapering roofline, 21-inch alloy wheels, a long greenhouse, flared wheel arches and massive skirts.
Honda has specified that the Concept D is actually a preview of the company’s upcoming production line which will go on sale exclusively in China. The crossover SUV will act as the brand’s flagship model and will include all “advanced safety technologies and other advanced features”.
