Mitsubishi has decided to say goodbye to its Lancer Evo series by releasing a special final edition only for the Japanese market. The company announced that it will start taking orders soon and will design only 1,000 units of the “Final Edition”.

The Final edition Lancer Evo will feature unique trims and some modification in suspension, but will not have the 480 horsepower engine that was displayed in the concept car at the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this year.

However, the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder will feature sodium inclusion exhaust valves that will increase the engine output at medium and high engine speeds. The suspensions in the new EVO will be upgraded with Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs and Brembo ventilated disc brakes in the front with high performance 18-inch BBS wheels.

On the exterior, it will have a dark chrome front grille with a gloss black bumper bar and hood vent surrounds combined with either a black or white roof panel.

The price of this Final Edition will be 4,298,400 Yen (35712.4397 US Dollar) according to current exchange rate. Mitsubishi will begin the production in August and it will arrive in showrooms in Japan shortly after.
