A new version of the Lexus ES is all set to appear at the Shanghai Motor Show later this month. The sixth-generation sedan to arrive since its debut in 1989, the new Lexus ES will not be much different from its current version; rather, it will sport various incremental improvements to make it standout from its extremely popular sibling.
The new version will retain a spanking new grille, thus doing away with the plastic split found on the current model. In addition, the shape of the headlights is also updated incorporating an L-shaped daytime running light that consists of multiple LEDs.
The rest is expected to be the same as the current ES; a 3.5-litre V-6 producing 269-horsepower rating with a front-wheel drive. The car is expected to compete with the Acura TLX, Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKZ.
