It appears there is no end to Dubai Police’s affinity for luxury cars as the fleet keeps expanding with the addition of one supercar after the other. The patrol fleet has yet again made way for three sparkling Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids which were revealed in a video released by Dubai Police on Monday. Report of these extravagant vehicles joining the police force comes few days after Dubai Police announced the unveiling of a second BMW i8, plug-in hybrid, to its exclusive sports car collection. The Police fleet currently possesses a number of classy supercars including the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, Ferrari FF, McLaren MP4-12C, Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77 and a Nissan GTR among several others. The Panamera S E-Hybrid encloses a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that produces 416 hp and 435lb ft of torque. Priced at £88,967, the car weighs 2,095 kg and boasts a top speed of 270 km/h (168mph). It is a highly ecological car producing considerably low CO2 emissions and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 5.5 seconds. The car’s exterior is more edgy and it is visibly pronounced in the extended air intakes at the front which not only renders the car a stylish appeal but also enhances the cooling of the engine and the brakes. The rear end of the car too is well-defined with slender taillights and a taut outline. Safety features of the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid include the exceptional Porsche Stability Management (PSM), LED headlights, ParkAssist and a distinctive braking system including ceramic composite brakes. Other feature to marvel in the car is the multifunction steering wheel entailing two ergonomic gearshift switches with handy control of audio, navigation functions and the on-board computer as well as the four driving modes namely Hybrid, E-Mode, E-Charge and Sport.
