The future of food is here; famous French automaker Peugeot has introduced its first ever food truck called ‘Le Bistro Du Lion’. Perhaps one of the first ever vehicle to have combined mobility with restaurateur-ship, the new truck’s exterior looks harmless; just like your average home caravan. It is only when the van is parked that it unfolds to reveal its true benefits; a mini restaurant with a complete kitchen, standing tables for up to 30 customers and even, yes, a DJ booth.
The personification of France’s love for exquisite food and extraordinary cars, the new Le Bistro Du Lion is already being termed as ‘restaurant on wheels’. To add further zing to people’s tastebuds, food truck expert Euromag has outfitted two grilling plates, four induction burners, a deep fryer, a 100-gallon floorboard refrigerator, a secondary 90-gallon drinks fridge and a Rocket Espresso machine to the vehicle.
Part of its promotion campaign will involve renowned French chef, Sven Chartier serving local and organic food during the 2015 Milan Design Week, starting April 14.
