Over the past few years, the Chevrolet Malibu has not managed to garner much spotlight, mainly due to its competitors in the midsize sedan range engaging in aggressive re-designs of its cars. But, it seems all that is about to change as the company has indulged in an extreme makeover for the car’s appearance for 2016 model year. The new Chevrolet Malibu is brimming with innovative features and elements. In addition, the overall look of the car betrays a formidable impression, thereby giving it much more personality. The car was displayed at the New York Auto Show.
With a slight resemblance to Impala, the Chevrolet Malibu has a wide, aggressive looking grille, expressive headlights and sharper taillights with a pair of large, integrated dual exhausts. Designers have worked hard to give the car more character with sharp lines to cut back its traditional slab-sided looks.
A sporty, vivacious look on the outside is perfectly balanced by a brown-and-beige colour scheme on the inside, giving the car a more relaxed feel. The interior is fitted with a large, central MyLink system on top of the dashboard, all the while allowing drivers to access their own dedicated display in the instrument cluster.
All design elements aside, the Chevrolet Malibu is not just a beautiful car. According to company representatives, the all new Malibu hybrid is larger, more technological and efficient and is project to offer a combined fuel economy rating north of 45 mpg.
