We are being informed through Hellcat.org that the American automaker Dodge is going to add 1,000 more units to its production line after some dealers took deposits for SRT Hellcat models but were not able to deliver. The automaker also restrained new orders for this viperous looking 707 HP muscle car two weeks ago and issued a public clarification restricting individual dealers to sell more than 12 Hellcats per year, which has clearly upset both the buyers and the dealers.
The information published on Hellcat.org forum says:
“For those of you still waiting on your VIN’s, you just may be receiving a nice little surprise in the coming days. An anonymous source tipped us this morning and said that Dodge has just scheduled an additional 1,000 SRT Hellcat’s to be built. Of those 1,000 new schedules, we did not receive any hard numbers on how many were Challengers or Chargers, but it’s definitely a huge step in the right direction and looks like Dodge is listening.”
It is still not confirmed how many Hellcats have been produced so far, and how many from the production line are Challengers and Chargers, but for now, new orders for Hellcat remain closed.
