There is a good news for all those American fanatics who were pining for the 2016 Ford Focus, as Ford has decided to launch Ford Focus RS in the US for the first time at the upcoming New York Auto Show.
The car which was first unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show boasts a 2.3-litre, EcoBoost four-cylinder engine generating 315 horsepower and entails a brand new torque-vectoring AWD system which can produce lateral acceleration surpassing one g.
Other features of the car include high performance Brembo braking system, an all new drift-mode, a six speed manual transmission, and two-mode adaptive dampers, in addition to Michilen Pilot Super Sport tires.
The car is slated to arrive in the US and Canadian markets by the spring of 2016 and will be the first ever RS model produced for markets worldwide at Ford’s Saarlouis plant in Germany.
