In its latest bid to promote the brand in Singapore, Uber has pulled out all the stops by offering a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and Maserati GranTurismo as part of its ride-sharing services.
Until now, customers had the choice to pick the ride they want which includes Uber Black for regular travel, Uber X for an inexpensive ride, Uber Taxi for a standard cab, Uber SUV for group travel and Uber Lux to hail a deluxe town car. However, now the customers also have the option to ride around the city in a supercar by requesting either the Lamborghini or Maserati, and then depending upon availability the car will be dispatched to pick up the customers.
For the first weekend, the rides will be offered free of charge for fifteen minutes. A ride in the Lamborghini Gallarado Spyder will cost 200 Singapore dollars ($145 USD) along with a 7 dollar ($5 USD) charge per minute after first fifteen minutes. On the other hand, users will be charged $165 for a ride in GranTurismo with similar extra charges for additional minutes.
Uber will be providing this special service in association with Dream Drive, a luxury car-rental service, everyday from 10am to 9pm starting from this weekend.
