Jaguar Land Rover is on its way to build its $220 million worth National Automotive Innovation Center (NAIC) in UK which is scheduled to commence by the spring of 2017.
Established at the University of Warwick, the research and development center is a collaborative effort of JLR, Tata, manufacturing wing of the university and the British Government.
The avant-garde facility is speculated to accommodate all of Jaguar Land Rover’s research programmes in addition to cutting-edge virtual engineering suites and laboratories as well as ultra-modern workshops.
According to Jaguar Land Rover’s CEO, Dr Ralf Speth, the NAIC will prove to be a world class facility providing state-of-the-art skills, and innovative learning with the provision of a collaborative setting to generate the finest technological mobility solutions.
The centre is expected to employ a total of 1,000 professionals along with the placement of 600 of Jaguar Land Rover’s engineers, researchers and experts from other sites in UK.
