The Cadillac CT6 is here to make a difference as General Motors has announced that the new CT6, soon to debut at the New York Auto Show, will feature two new V6 engines

The first one inline is a 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 engine generating 400hp at 5,500 rpm and 400 lb-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm, while the second engine option include a 3.6 litre naturally aspirated V6 producing 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque.

This is not the only factor that sets the car apart as the V6 is also going to receive a cylinder deactivation feature that allows the car to turn off one cylinder so that the engine can switch to a V-4 when the car isn’t fully loaded.

Moreover, the new engine also sports a stop-start system for optimal fuel economy making the car one of its kind to feature both the cylinder deactivation and stop start technology.

Additionally, the car is also claimed to possess a superior water-to-air charge cooling system similar to the ATS-V thus keeping the turbo heat under control.
