A prototype of the convertible version of Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe recently came under the surveillance of some spy photographers, as it was being put to test in the freezing weather of Sweden. The design of the thickly disguised Convertible edition appears to be more or less similar to the Wraith Coupe with slight changes, which include change of the metal roof with an electrically retractable fabric roof.
The Rolls-Royce Wrath convertible will retain the same V12 6.6 litre twin turbocharged engine generating 632 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque paired with an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission. Other features of the convertible include Rolls Royce’s standard Parthenon Grille, LED lights, along with the customary coach doors and taillights.
Moreover, the convertible is expected to receive a new name and is slated for production in mid-2016 joining the ranks of the brand’s leading Phantom Drophead Coupe.
