Furious 7 is just about 2 weeks away from its official release and fans are excited to watch the best action movie of the year. From the trailer it looks the most awe-inspiring movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, and no doubt UAE firms did a great job in making the most thrilling car sequences.
Miranda Davidson Studios (MDS) and PP-Performance are two Abu-Dhabi based companies who provided the supercars and the crew for filming. While MDS rendered 200 background workers, PP-Performance made available the Mercedes CC 63 with cutomised 900bhp SLS engine that can go from 0-100mph (0-62 km/h) in 2.8 seconds. It is the same supercar which broke world record for drag racing, covering the quarter mile in 9.7s. Other noteworthy supercars you would see in the movie include 1200bhp Dodge Viper, a 1001bhp Bugatti Veyron and a Lamborghini Aventador. The Director, James Wan also contacted W Motors for their hypercar, Lykan HyperSport, which would debut in Furious 7.
UAE is attracting filmmakers all around the world to come and shot their movies here. Though there were a number of Indian movies filmed in the UAE last year, but Furious 7 is the first mega movie that would bring numerous others to trust the facilities here and choose it as their filming destination.
