Following the booming sales of the 2015 F-150 truck, Ford has decided to roll out more of its all-aluminium trucks by bringing its Kansas City assembly plant into action where the F-150’s production was launched on Friday.

The all-new F-150 with its full-scale competence, sophisticated technology and efficiency has garnered great acclaim from the public resulting in an astonishing increase in its sales. Consequently, Ford took the initiative of setting two specialized factories to generate the best selling truck and meet the mounting customer demand.

Earlier, Ford’s Michigan factory was the sole assembly plant for F-150, but now with the start of production at the new factory, Ford can manufacture up to 700,00 F-150 trucks every year to serve a total of 90 markets worldwide.

The newly upgraded Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo boasts avant-garde technology, heavy duty machinery, 500 hi-tech robots, a new body shop and employs up to 7,000 workers. Moreover, the new plant will facilitate assembly of F-150 trucks which are 700 pounds lighter, have enhanced fuel economy, and resilient towing capacity.
