McLaren is bold enough to simply refuse the need for a utility vehicle to make profits. The British Formula One race car manufacturer early stated it can make its bread and butter very well just by selling its racing series.
While talking to the Automotive News, McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt, said that a firm’s prosperity mainly depends on three basic factors: choosing and distributing its products wisely in markets especially North America, Europe, and Asia; managing the expenses; and constantly bringing in new changes according to the latest trends and technology so that the customers stay put.
Flewitt further added that the addition of an SUV can weaken the taste of its brand and the company has strong plans to bring in more bucks solely by moving its high-end supercars.
Surely, we are looking forward to hearing more success stories from McLaren, as they plan to roll out their new “entry level” Sports series which will be featuring seven new variants sporting different body shapes and specs. The price range of these Sports series vehicles is expected to be somewhere in the north of $150,000.
