BMW is certainly working hard in its autonomous technology. Recently, we found BMW M235i self-drifting in a video posted by BMW.
The video features the latest model of BMW M235i, drifting without driver’s intervention. Yes, the self-driving car is now drifting as well. The driving machine is shown sliding and moving sideways in competition to Daijiro Yoshihara ( one of the world’s best drifters and the 2011 Formula Drift champion), and we can surely say the self-drifting car is doing a great job.
The ultimate driving machine is equipped with 360-degree radar, ultrasound, LISAR (laser radar) and camera detectors fixed all over the vehicle to get it back into its row in difficult driving conditions. Typically, the car applies brakes if it senses any incoming threat, but BMW technology gives power to the steering wheel to adjust lanes and drifts.
In a nutshell, we can say that your car will be a better driver than you in the near future.
