The German automaker, RUF holds a good reputation with fasteners, giving tough competition to some fast race runners in terms of performance and price. So, carrying forward its tradition, RUF has once again stunned the audience at the Geneva Motor Show; this time giving hard time to 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. RUF has introduced its new RGT 4.2 on the same platform where Porsche was flaunting one of its recent concepts, giving the customers an opportunity to compare and choose between the two.
Though it follows the footsteps of Porsche, but RUF RGT 4.2 comes with a lot of perks which would let you think twice. For example, the RGT is packed with a flat six 4.2 litre engine which churns out 518 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, taking it to a top speed of 200 mph (321.9 km/h). Whereas, the Porsche 911 GT3 has a direct-injected 4.0-litre mill which produces 500 hp and 338 lb-ft of torque, which get it going to maximum 198 mph (318.65 km/h)
While Porsche likes to be less mechanical and more digital, RUF RGT desires to go with the six speed stick. As compared to the manual gearbox of RGT, Porsche provides its riders with PDK automatic. But still in this case, we would like to say, RGT is the winner (sorry Porsche GT3).
