McLaren has confirmed plans to introduce the 675LT ‘Longtail’ in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The new model is the latest addition to the newly named McLaren Super Series range, which also includes the 650S and the Asia-market 625C. It is described as the “lightest, the quickest and the purest” version in the family.

As expected, the 675LT takes inspiration from the iconic F1 GTR that was introduced in 1997 and quickly earned the ‘Longtail’ monicker thanks to a stretched profile.

The number 675 is a reference to 675ps, or 666 horsepower, making the 675LT the most powerful model in the family. It is also lighter than the 650S and brings more downforce, though the company has not yet announced full specs.

The company expects to begin shipping the 675LT later this year.
