Daimler’s Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand has announced pricing for its all-new S600 model. Based on the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 made its world debut at the 2014 Los Angeles auto show.
The 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600 will go on sale this April with an estimated starting price of AED 695,000 ( $189,350 ). In comparison, the Mercedes-Benz S600 carries an asking price of AED 651,058 ( $177,400 )
For that extra 20 grand, Mercedes-Maybach buyers will receive a chassis that has been stretched by 8.1-inches and a roofline that has been lifted for additional rear-seat headroom. “Executive” rear seats with a stone massage function, Burmeister stereo and hand-stitched leather door panels and headliner are also fitted as standard on the Mercedes-Maybach S600.
Power for the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is provided by a 6.0L bi-turbo V12 boasting 523 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque. The scenery whizzing by will be the only clue to that grunt underhood, however, as Mercedes bills the Maybach S600 as the quietest sedan in the world.
The Mercedes-Maybach brand is set to grow int he coming years, with the next product expected to be an SUV based on the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
