The special jury for the awards was comprised of female reporters from 15 different countries, nine of which belonged to Europe. The awards were presented considering various aspects such as design and function, luxury, cargo space, elegance, and style. Surprisingly, some new factors were also added to the criteria list such as the ‘wow’ factor, sex appeal, and value for money; all of which were attributed to be decisive for female car buyers.
The Women’s World Car of the Year Awards is hosted annually by New Zealand’s Women’s World magazine and is currently in its fifth year awarding the most deserving cars with titles like best family car, sports car, luxury car, SUV, green car and budget car.
To add more fun to the award ceremony, judges were also asked to name their dream car they desired to own. The Jaguar F-type coupe emerged as this year’s dream car owing to its popularity among women motoring journalists worldwide. The official trophy of the awards was a ceramic plate with intricate inscriptions designed by Keri Blue (NZ)
The Honda Jazz 2014 which is currently available in 1.2 and 1.4 i-VTEC petrol engines along with Honda’s super-efficient hybrid IMA technology is soon going to be succeeded by all-new third generation European Jazz which will hit the roads by the summer of 2015.
