Kia has quietly announced it will travel to next month’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, to introduce a new concept car called K900 High-Performance.
The High-Performance concept looks much more aggressive than a stock K900 thanks to a deep front bumper with a splitter, side skirts, blacked-out headlights and dark chrome trim around the radiator grille. Multi-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels and red brake calipers wrap up the track-inspired look.
While Kia has not published performance specifications, the large intercooler visible through the front bumper hints the K900 High-Performance concept is powered by a turbocharged version of its production counterpart’s 5.0-liter V8 engine. If that’s the case, the sedan packs over 420 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque.
Upgraded brakes on all four corners and a lowered suspension setup help the driver make the most of the extra grunt.
A full set of details about the Kia K900 High-Performance concept will emerge in the days leading up to its debut. Kia has not revealed whether its latest show car is merely a design study or if it announces the arrival of a more powerful sport-focused K900.
