The famous on-demand car service app, Uber has now been made available for Windows devices in Qatar, making it easier for natives to order a driver assisted car.
Uber employs the phone’s GPS to locate a user’s position, allowing them to mark a pickup spot on the map. Within minutes Uber informs users through a text message that the car has arrived.
Previously, people having Windows Phone devices had to visit the mobile website of respective company to order a ride, which posed problems and wasn’t user-friendly. The arrival of a dedicated app is going to make things easier.
To encourage the use of app, Uber has offered a special discount of QR100 for Lumia users. They will have to pay lesser for their first ride booked through Uber application.
The Uber app has been made available on all Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 devices. It can be downloaded for free from the Windows Phone Store.
