Volvo is celebrating the start of production for its V60 Polestar, a sport-tuned variant of the basic V60 wagon.
Just 750 examples of the V60 Polestar and its sedan counterpart, the S60 Polestar, will be produced this year. The first batch is headed to showrooms in Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the US.
“The UK market is receiving the most with 125 cars, all of which will be fully specified with every factory option possible,” the company said in a statement. “In fact, the only option each customer has is what colour to choose.”
The all-wheel-drive V60 Polestar is powered by a turbocharged straight-six engine that produces 350 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The sport-focus is further defined by a stiffened chassis, upgraded suspension, Brembo front brakes, 20-inch wheels and a front splitter and rear spoiler.
