The German automaker’s Volkswagen seems not much of an inspiration to the Emiratis, as it is far behind in the revenue figures than other marques from Japan and Germany. Now, the company has agreed to attract people across UAE by launching one of the most favourite cars of all times, The Beetle.
Earlier this year, the regional division of Volkswagen Group announced that The Beetle is set to arrive in the Middle East this June. Though the deliveries of this car are limited to UAE so far, rest of the GCC countries will get Beetle in the coming weeks.
In the Middle East, this three-door compact car has appeared in three distinct trims including S, SE and SEL. Although all the trims run on the same powertrain i.e. 2.0 litre four-cylinder 16-Valve TSI engine that produces 210 horsepower and six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, each version has a unique interior and exterior styling features.
The latest generation of Beetle is designed on previous patterns but with enhanced styling and safety. Aside from sleek curves, the bodywork has crash-optimized front end and advanced safety cage.
The new Volkswagen Beetle is obtainable from Al Nabooda showrooms in Fujairah, Sharjah and Dubai at a base price of AED 99,900.
