The mini-sedan, which was only recently launched in India, will also be introduced in Nepal where it will go on sale for an Indian price tag of 18 lac.

In India, the Hyundai Xcent 2014 is available in Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol edition is powered by 1.2-litre kappa dual VTVT engine, while the diesel edition is powered by 1.1-litre U2 technology engine. The export version is likely to receive LHD conversion and some software changes that comply with international standards; however the essential engine specifications shall remain unchanged. Reports suggest that these export versions will be produced at Hyundai’s Chennai plant in India.

Hyundai has not ignored its safety factor and has given due importance to Xcent in this regard. The production version is said to be packed with Anti-lock braking system, dual airbags, rear defogger, central locking and rear parking assistance.

While the price tag for the international version of the Xcent is unknown, it shall not be hugely different from what it is in India. Estimates however suggest that the 2014 Hyundai Xcent shall cost us lesser than Dhs 40,000.
