Porsche’s first four-cylinder model in nearly two-decades has officially arrived in the form of the Macan compact SUV.

Seemingly bashful of the four-cylinder model, Porsche unveiled the entry-level Macan on its UK buyer’s site without any kind of fanfare. Nonetheless, the four-cylinder Macan is here and we now have a full list of specs.

The Macan is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged inline-four developing 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Using Porsche’s PDK double-clutch transmission to send power to all four wheels, the Macan is capable of accelerating from 0-100 in 6.9 seconds.

Porsche says the four-cylinder SUV can top out at 222 kmph while delivering up to 69 kmpg on the European cycle.

Porsche’s UK Web site list the Macan as “special order only,” indicating dealers might not stock the most modestly priced version of the SUV.

So far Porsche has not indicated if it plans to sell the four-cylinder Macan in the United Arab Emirates.
