Toyota has unveiled its all new Camry at the New York Motorshow. Perhaps the most popular car on the UAE’s roads, the all-new Camry boasts a fresh look that will surely be welcomed by its core market.
At just 2 inches longer and half an inch wider, Toyota claims that this is the “sportiest Camry yet”. Though not much has changed mechanically, the notable addition is an upgraded suspension set-up aimed at firming up the handling and offering a better ride.
Under the bonnet remains the same 2.5 litre straight-4 engine, but interestingly a new 3.5 litre V6 will be available when it is released for 2015.
On the styling front, the new Camry bears some much needed shaper edges, and some very welcome curves, and a great deal more depth has been added to the back. The interior, too, has been spiced up. Although an evolution of the previous décor, the new additions certainly give it a far tidier feel.
It is not certain when, or even if, this car is coming to the UAE, but given the strength of the product in the Middle Eastern market it would be bizarre if there is a delay.
