Ram has expanded its “Black Package” special editions to include its Heavy Duty pickups, after the Ram 1500 Black Express was met with an “overwhelming response.”

The Ram Black Appearance Group focuses on a dark theme all around, with an all-black exterior and 20-inch black anodized wheels. The design also features a black grille surround with black horizontal inserts, while the front and rear bumpers and head badges also match the body color and blend into the look.

Aside from the consistent lack of color on the trim components, the packages also feature projector headlights — with black bezels, of course — along with LED turning lamps and brake lights.

Engine options remain the same, including the company’s all-new 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can also choose a 5.7-liter HEMI, or a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel that outputs 385 ponies and 850 lb-ft of torque.

The Black package is available on the 2014 Ram 2500 and 3500 SRW, Crew Cab and Mega Cab, Big Horn/Lone Star and Laramie models, with optional four-wheel-drive.
