BMW has unveiled the facelifted second-generation X3 with new bumpers, revised grille, updated headlights, side skirts, side mirrors and new alloy wheels. There are also new exterior color choices.

The interior boasts updated upholstery and trim with new cup holders. Tech updates include an upgraded infotainment system and iDrive controller with an integrated touchpad. Smart opener is optional, allowing the tailgate to be opened with your foot, by placing it under the rear bumper.

The new XLine package adds “simulated” underbody guards, metallic trim and exclusive 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels. The M Sport package adds an aerodynamic body kit, shadow line trim, 18- to 20-inch alloy wheels, sport seats, an anthracite roof liner and a sport-tuned suspension.

Engine range gets a new 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, that in the rear-wheel drive sDrive18d delivers and impressive 100 kmpg with CO2 emissions of 124g/km. The other three diesel options include xDrive20d, xDrive30d and flagship xDrive35d all come with four-wheel drive as standard. The range topping XDrive35d packs 309bhp.

Both a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission are available depending on the engine choice.
