Well-known tuner Mugen has published a full set of details about its modification package for the Honda Vezel crossover that bowed in Tokyo late last month. Riding on a modified Fit platform, the Vezel will adopt a different nameplate and reach U.S. showrooms next year as a 2015 model.

Visually, the Mugen-tuned Vezel gains a full body kit consisting of beefier bumpers on both ends, side skirts, a bespoke grille and a roof-mounted spoiler. Seven different alloy wheel motifs including 18-inch units with a honeycomb design finish off the sporty look on the outside.

The cockpit can be fitted with imitation carbon fiber trim on the shift lever and the rear-view mirror, aluminum pedals, bucket seats for the front passengers and extra analog gauges that provide vital information about the car such as the pressure and temperature of the engine oil.

As is generally the case, Mugen is not making any modifications to the engine but it offers a host of bolt-on accessories such as a sport exhaust line designed to squeeze every last ounce of power from the Vezel’s four-banger. A lowered and stiffened suspension and upgraded brake pads round out the list of updates.

The Mugen-tuned Vezel is on sale now in its home country of Japan. Honda has not announced whether the upgrades will be available in the United States when the entry-level crossover makes its debut next year.
