McLaren’s Special Operations division has unveiled the McLaren MSO 12C Concept, a one-off coupe designed to showcase the division’s know-how in manufacturing bespoke vehicles.

The MSO-built MP4-12C stands out from the regular model thanks to a bespoke hood, louvers on the top of the front fenders and vents built into the rear wing. The roof panel gains a functional scoop made out of carbon fiber that channels air into the engine.

In order to shave every last ounce from the 12C, the wheel bolts and the oil filler cap are both crafted out of titanium. Concept-specific alloy wheels finish off the look.

The weight-saving treatment continues on the inside with an instrument cluster made entirely out of carbon fiber. The seats and the dashboard are upholstered in black leather while the steering wheel and the center console are fitted with contrasting white trim that matches the car’s paint job.

McLaren Special Operations has not made any changes in the engine bay, meaning the MSO 12C Concept is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 mill that sends 616 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car is capable of reaching 100 kmph from a stop in at least 3.1 seconds.
