Called the Viper TA (Time Attack) Special Edition, the limited edition model builds on the already capable Viper SRT. Chrysler’s performance division chose the SRT trim level as the basis for the TA model as it is the lightest in the Viper range.

From there, SRT added a race-tuned suspension with new springs and thicker sway bars, upgraded Brembo brakes, and a lighter, carbon fiber under hood X-brace that increases torsional rigidity and stiffness by 50 percent.

The TA also features an Advanced Aerodynamics Package that includes a carbon fiber front splitter and rear wing. The Viper TA rolls on Sidewinder II wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubber.

The road-legal Viper TA Special Edition is powered by the same 640 horsepower, 600 lb-ft of torque 8.4L V10 used in the rest of the Viper range.

“The new 2014 SRT Viper TA is engineered for the serious performance enthusiast who needs a car that can be driven daily yet has mind-boggling limits on a road course that would rival many track-only cars. As one of the best handling and fastest supercars available on the market today, the TA enables our customers to take their passion for high performance driving to the next level,” said Ralph Gilles, CEO of the SRT brand.

Just 159 units of the Viper TA will be produced € 93 in the TA’s signature ” TA Orange”, 33 in Venom Black and 33 in Bright White.
