Lexus has disclosed plans to showcase a Turbo version of the LF-NX concept at this month’s Tokyo Motor Show in Japan.

A couple of months ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany we saw Lexus’ striking LF-NX concept which came with the largest application of the spindle grille. The concept will be making a comeback at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month but without the 2.5-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine. Instead, it will be powered by a newly developed turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline motor set to bring “guaranteed power and improved fuel economy.”

Aside from receiving a new heart, the Lexus LF-NX Turbo is also distinguished by a lower center of gravity and features a front under spoiler to create a sportier appearance. The cabin now incorporates a remote touch interface with touchpad functionality for a more user-friendly approach.
