Mercedes has released new details about the GLA Edition 1.

Based on the GLA Urban, the Edition 1 features bi-xenon headlights, black accents and chrome roof rails. The crossover will also be equipped with tinted windows and 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. The model will be available exclusively in cirrus white, orient brown metallic, mountain grey metallic and designo magno mountain grey.

The cabin comes nicely equipped with nut brown leather / Alvorada fabric seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and stainless steel pedals. Other highlights include aluminum trim, a black roof liner and special floor mats. The Edition 1 will also be equipped with a Light and Sight package that includes ambient lighting, illuminated door sill plates and automatic windscreen wipers.

Under the hood, four engines are available including a 1.6-liter four cylinder with 156 HP (115 kW) and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 211 HP (155 kW). There’s also two 2.2-liter diesels with outputs of 136 HP (100 kW) and 170 HP (125 kW).

The Mercedes GLA Edition 1 will go up for pre-order next month and the first deliveries are scheduled for March 2014.
