Porsche Macan is set to unveil at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month and new details are starting to emerge about the upcoming model.
According to Motor Authority, the Macan Turbo will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine that develops 395 bhp (294 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It will be reportedly be joined by an entry-level model and a mid-level Macan S that has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6. The engines are slated to be connected to manual and PDK transmissions which send power to a rear-biased all-wheel drive system with a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Despite being heavily based on the Audi Q5, the Macan will have distinctive styling that clearly echoes the larger Cayenne. The crossover will also have a sportier suspension and a revised steering system.
Nothing is official, but an earlier leak suggested the Macan S will cost $52,000 while the Macan Turbo will retail for $75,000.
