After confirming that its Korean-market Quoris flagship sedan will be headed to U.S. dealers next year, Kia has told its dealerships that it will begin advertising the vehicle during the Super Bowl next February.
Although reports earlier this year indicated that the automaker will price it between $50,000 and $70,000. The chairman of the automaker’s national dealer council told Automotive News that the car will offer “a [BMW] 7-Series value for a 5-Series price.”
The automaker also apparently confirmed to its dealer group that advertising for the car will begin in February, which means that its on-sale date will probably be shortly thereafter. Dealers were told that the Quoris will launch initially at dealerships on the West Coast, in New England and in Florida before going on sale nationwide, a move that’s not unlike how Hyundai first began selling the Equus.
We anticipate that the North American version of the Quoris will debut at November’s Los Angeles Auto Show. Stay tuned.
