The first purported pictures of the 2014 Audi A3 Cabriolet have surfaced online ahead of its official debut on September 8th.

Looking instantly recognizable, the model has a familiar design that closely echoes the Audi A3 Sedan. While the photos depict an S-Line variant, we can see the convertible will have LED-infused headlights, metallic trim and a stylish trunk with an integrated spoiler.

The familiar styling continues in the cabin as the only notable change is a new switch that activates the retractable soft top.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but will likely carryover from the standard model. This means choices will likely include a 1.4-liter TFSI with 140 HP (103 kW), a 1.8-liter TFSI with 180 HP (132 kW) and a 2.0-liter TDI with outputs 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). There could be an S3 Cabrio with 300 HP (221 kW) but nothing is official as of yet.
