The BMW 2-Series Coupe will allegedly go on sale in March 2014, according to a new report.

An official reveal is likely to occur a few weeks prior to the car’s public debut scheduled for September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Shortly after the coupe enters production, BMW will start making the convertible which will have a soft top. Both of them will get a rear-wheel drive layout as standard but some of the versions will be optionally available with xDrive.

Initially, BMW will reportedly offer the 2-Series Coupe in 220d, 218i and 225i versions which will be followed by hotter versions such as the M235i and M235i xDrive. A range-topping M2 will join the range most likely in 2015 with a rumored 45,000 GBP (about 69,000 USD or 52,700 EUR) price tag.
