Polaris has escalated the sport side-by-side wars with the introduction of a new, highly revised RZR XP 1000 that comes with the largest, most powerful engine in the high-performance side-by-side category.<\/p>\n
Aside from the new, larger 999cc engine that puts out a claimed 107 horsepower, the 2014 RZR XP 1000 includes a new tubular chassis, a redesigned cockpit, freshened exterior appearance, an upgraded CVT and geometry changes to the 3-Link trailing arm rear suspension that debuted on the RZR XP 900.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear if the new changes and design will spread to the rest of the RZR lineup, but this is already big news and it will be interesting to see how competing manufacturers in the sport side-by-side world respond to the latest salvo from Polaris. If history is an indicator, this range-topping model will be wildly successful for dealers and at the racetrack.<\/p>\n
