Tesla has made the Model’s 3 purchase more lucrative in the U.S. by adding more range in the Long Range AWD version. The new Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD will now cover 518 km (322 miles) on a single charge, which is a 19 km (12 miles) boost over the ongoing version. This 3.9% increase in drive range comes with a 1% price rise.

Tesla isn’t offering Long Range RWD version anymore, which was delivering around 523 km (325 miles) range. So, this variant is a good option for those looking for an increase in range.

With the price increase of $500 (1%), the new Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD will now sell at $48,490. We call it a win-win for both the customers and the automaker because Tesla has also stepped up the acceleration. The car can hit 96 km/h in 4.4 seconds now, which is a 0.1 sec faster than previous.

Tesla’s plan to improve the range and asking for more price may work to increase its sales. Recently, they also raised the range and price of the Standard Range Plus.

Here’s the updated price of the Model 3 Long Range AWD:

  • Price: from $47,990 to $48,490 (up by $500 or 1%)
  • Range: from 499 km (310 miles) to 518 km (322 miles) (up by 19 km/12 miles or 3.9%)

Customers who will take deliveries before the end of this year will be eligible for 1,875 Federal Tax Credit.
