The Ministry of Energy and Industry has announced a slight drop in petrol prices for October 2019. The rates for Super 98 and Special 95 are decreased by 1.7% and 1.8% respectively. The diesel will see a little increase of 1.2%.

Super 98 will now sell at Dh2.24 – a reduction of 4 fils compared to September 2019

Special 95 will cost Dh2.12 – a decrease of 4 files

Diesel stands at Dh2.41 – an increase of 3 fils

The fuel prices were deregulated in August 2015. Talking about the rates in 2019, they were dropped at the start of this year and then steadily increased until July, when we saw a 10% drop. In August this year, prices were enhanced by 3% and then dipped by 4% in September.

We were expecting a big increase in prices after the attack on Saudi Aramco. The rates increased significantly but came back to normal as the production resumed to previous levels.
