Seeing the success of LEAF, the Japanese automaker has decided to create a new Nissan Electric SUV, according to Automotive News. The automaker held a private dealer meeting last month in America and displayed the model there, which shows the company is serious about making it a reality.

We do not know much about the new Nissan Electric SUV. However, the data collected through dealers shows it has a promising drive range. Reportedly, it will offer 483 km drive range, which makes it a close competitor of the Model X (523 km range) and Jaguar i-Pace (377 km range). The compact SUV will be able to hit 97 km/h in less than 5 seconds.

Please note, the pictures shown here are of the iMx concept SUV, which Nissan showcased two years ago. We are not sure if the new EV will be based on it or not. However, dealers said it resembles Rogue on the outside and Murano on the inside (in terms of interior space).

The new electric crossover SUV may break cover in a year or two, as Nissan pushes hard to create eight electric models in the coming years.
