To celebrate the introduction of Hyundai’s famous Pony coupe, the Korean automaker presented the Hyundai 45 Concept at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Hyundai Pony Concept

The concept model translates Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language, which will be used in the upcoming electric and self-driving cars. The automaker wants to show the world how exciting electric vehicles could be.

The Hyundai 45 Concept features distinct blacked-out rocker panels drawing attention to the flat battery stored within. Another unique concept is the information about the battery’s charge through the LEDs. The black-out sections in the front and back are empty for now and possibly can be used to install cameras and sensors.

The futuristic interiors are now synonymous to electric cars. Just like a big touchscreen dashboard available in the Honda E, the Hyundai 45 Concept also uses a wide digital screen to handle different car functions.

Hyundai has already given the industry some exciting battery-electric cars in shape of Ioniq and Kona. However, the automaker is now taking a new direction by showing us their future EV design choices.
