Bugatti is back with yet another million-dollar supercar! Unveiled at the Pebble Beach as was confirmed earlier, the Bugatti Centodieci commemorates company’s 110 years of existence. To make it more relevant to the word ‘Centodieci’, the automaker based it on the EB110, which was introduced in 1991 at the 110th birthday of Ettore Bugatti.
The Centodieci certainly has lots of Bugatti supercars’ cues. However, major design elements come from the EB110. The Bugatti horseshoe and sports three-section air intakes, both remind us of the EB110.
Under the hood is the famous 8.0L W16 engine, which can be seen from the glass on the hood. However, on the back, it has some unique features such as two-dimensional styling with eight taillight elements, stacked exhaust pipes, and a performance diffuser, which help us to distinguish it from the EB110.
The automaker says the Bugatti Centodieci will be able to generate an enormous 1,600 horsepower. This would help the car to hit 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds only. It will complete 0 to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds, and 0-300 km/h in 13.1 seconds. Bugatti has no plans to rival the likes of fastest cars in the world, thus limited its speed to 380 km/h. Of course, with 1,600 horsepower on hand, it can even try 300 mph mark.
Bugatti plans to create only 10 units of the Centodieci, each wearing a hefty price tag of $8.9 million (excluding VAT).
