Mercedes-AMG has made the CLA family more attractive by introducing the second-generation 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake for the European customers. This time, the automaker did not compromise on performance for practicality and bring us a true sporty family model.
Powering the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake is a four-cylinder petrol engine found in the A45 and CLA, but it has been tuned to offer two varied power outputs, i.e., 387 horsepower (289 kilowatts) for the base model and 416 hp (310 kW), which is available in the CLA 45 S version. The power goes to all the wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Mercedes fans would know, the term they use for this is 4MATIC +. The base model’s 387 hp is capable of hitting 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The S variant gets better with just a 0.1-second difference. The top speed is capped at 250 km/h for the basic variant and 270 km/h for the S model.
It doesn’t matter if you want to use CLA 45 Shooting Brake to drop kids at school or have fun using its drift mode, it is equally capable.
Enough talking about its performance! Looking at the pictures, we can see Mercedes-AMG did very well with the exterior design. In fact, you won’t see anything like that in the market, which differentiates it in the lot. The interior features rectangular digital displays and is equally attractive. Do not forget the extra space at the back for long holiday trips.
The automaker did not reveal the pricing details of the 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shooting Brake yet. Also, we are not sure if it will hit UAE markets.
