Careem, the ride-hailing service, and the renowned General Motors Africa and Middle East (GM), have signed on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) offering Careem Captains an exclusive chance to own a vehicle for as low as 59 AED per day. The MoU was signed in the presence of Bassel Al Nahlaoui, Managing Director of Careem Gulf and Luay Al Shurafa, Managing Director of Commercial Operations, General Motors Africa and the Middle East.
With this MOU, Careem Captains will be able to buy any Chevrolet, GMC or Cadillac vehicle on a cheap installment plan. The best part is, the plan will also include service, maintenance support, and extended warranty. The captains, who successfully pay 3-year installments, will get the ownership transferred on their name. The ride-hailing company truly wants its Captains to become self-employed and make driving a rewarding profession.
Bassel Al Nahlaoui, Managing Director of Careem Gulf stated: “We are happy to finalize this agreement with General Motors which we believe will greatly benefit our Captains. We at Careem care deeply about the well-being and happiness of our captains, and always endeavor to find ways to support them both in and out of the workplace.”
