Icona, a design studio in Italy, has joined hands with Chinese online retail giant JD to introduce a self-driving vehicle concept at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show. In this regard, they have posted a teaser photo which is an autonomous logistics vehicle supposedly used to transport goods.
Icona has previously designed many vehicles including the Nucleus and Vulcano Titanium, and now they have taken another step to showcase their capabilities in the field of design. It is worth mentioning that Icona does not plan to produce this vehicle rather they want to attract potential customers, mainly OEMs, to get design jobs. They aspire to take a step ahead of the automotive scene and design anything related to mobility.
The details are scarce right now, so stay tuned as we cover the Shanghai Auto Show, which starts April 16.
